It can not be emphasized enough how important this stuff is.
Sunscreen/sunblock filters out the harmful rays of the sun, UVA(deep penetrating) and UVB(shallow penetrating), that cause sunburn and cancer. There are essentially only 2 types, Mineral and Chemical. They differ in their active ingredients and How they protect you.
Mineral - Titanium dioxide or Zinc oxide. They create a barrier on your skin that reflects UV light and they do Not absorb into your skin.
Chemical - The most common active ingredients are Avobenzone, Octinoxate, and Oxybenzone. These Will absorb into your skin, absorb the UV rays, convert those rays into heat, and release them from your body.
Tinted - Mineral-based, broad-spectrum sunscreen that contains a blend of added pigments to add a sheer tint. Comes in different shades to match natural skin tones.
Comes as Lotions, Sprays, Gels, foams, sticks, powders, and other topical products.
Oxybenzone: Can be hormone-disrupting
Titanium Dioxide: Non-toxic, does not absorb into skin
Hyaluronic Acid: Visibly reduces wrinkles, and increases skin hydration
Niacinamide: UV protectant
Hydrogenated Lecithin: Increases absorption of other ingredients
